Increasing requirements to integrated solutions of intruder alarm system (IAS) and access control system (ACS) require still more powerful panels. After successful release of MU4N  panel in 2010 we released to the market in March its smaller version MU3N , which fully replaces till now used panels MU3-1 and MU3-2.

New concept of panels brings more simplicity of security systems design. The only one difference between MU3N and MU4N is number of slots for expansion cards (4 slots at MU3N and 8 slots at MU4N). The power of panels, capacity of the memory and all other properties and functions are the same.

There came many upgrades at both panels in comparison with older versions, they allow for example update the firmware directly from SetTermW program, they include a new RTC circuit, and thanks to it the changes of summer/winter time are actualizing automatically and the user is free from keeping these changes in his mind. There were some improvements of operational and configuration parts in the area of firmware. These changes lead to better overview at alarms clearance, viewing of entries in alarm, operation of the doors by the user from keyboard, etc.

Also the test of passwords suitability  at their creation by the user was improved, so in new versions it is not possible to fill-in simple and easy-to-discover passwords, as for example 1111, 1234, and passwords beginning with 19xx or 20xx.

The new expansion module of the panel allows operation of more than 100.000 card users within the integrated solution IAS and ACS. New models MU3N and MU4N are suitable for small objects up to large buildings with hunderds of detectors.
